Capsule I | ss
The Quarantine Collection reflects the adjustments that had to be made all over the world. Facing uncertainty, many households bunkered down and began a journey of patience. For me, I took this time to reconnect with my ideas and flesh out a new plan for Angela Mayhoe | KNIT. What came of this project, the new design of The Shrunken Cardigan. Along with other alterations for my brand (stay tuned), I wanted to micro-focus on a few pieces that I enjoy creating and offer capsule collections two seasons a year - The Quarantine Collection is the first offering.
The Capsule I | SS comprises of a muted desert palate of color that has a soft sensibility to combine with summer patterns, stripes and graphics. The yarn is a Peruvian cotton, modal and silk blend which elevates the classic Mayhoe Rib stitch and provides an amazing drape while maintaining the integrity of the design which consists of inverted pleat sleeves and a relaxed bodice. Each cardigan is handcrafted with the intention of providing a slow fashion experience for the consumer and a garment that can easily become a forever staple in their wardrobe.
Styled as an additional layer or worn as a single piece (tucked-in/wrapped), the shrunken cardigan provides a confidence to your ensemble. The intention of slow fashion pieces is to allow the consumer the assurance of having a garment that can carry them over several fashion seasons and become a vintage find for their wardrobe.
