easy like sunday morning

The sunlight seeps slowly through your window, the usual morning commute chatter comes to a halt and the breeze blows a little lighter - (exhale) hello Sunday! Everyday is an amazing blessing but Sunday is my ultimate celebration of doing everything in slow motion. My Sunday morning ritual is slow and steady. I sleep in and enjoy the caress of my bed while reading or just being. Then I meditate, oil pull, prepare my lemon water and (almost always) get ready for a brunch destination. Here are some of my suggestions to create a perfect easy Sunday.

Take your brunch outdoors and enjoy your eggs over easy at a location that offers a covered patio with a view. Invite close friends and make a day sipping boozy refreshments while catching up on the previous weekday shenanigans.

Schedule a massage or body treatment at your local day spa. It's great to arrive early to enjoy their amenities like the sauna, steam room or relax in the quiet room before your treatment.

Grab a blanket, a prepared lunch from your local gourmet shop, a good book or some friends and head to the park. Being outdoors is a perfect way to relax a Sunday away and it's also good for your health.

If you're feeling adventurous, hop in the car and hit the road. In LA, driving in any direction for 1 1/2 hours can transport you to a different terrain. Start a little early to maximize your time and don't forget to make a playlist for in-car entertainment.

Run all of your weekend errands on Saturday and stay in on Sunday to relax and unwind in your own space. Finally read that book, binge watch Netflix or stay in your favorite pjs and order takeout. Having a "do nothing" day sparks inspiration and gives your busy mind permission to chill out.
